17 Nov 20201。 I have a huge soft spot for the Disney comics retellings of various stories- they riff off established legends and history very well and there are always tons of puns。 I first encountered the Scarlet Pimpernel as a Donald Duck version known as the Scarlet Pumpernickel and I haven't forgotten it to date。 2。 So anyway- this retelling seems far more detailed and closer to the original story （taking into account my admittedly patchy relationship with the Dracula novel） than the ones I 17 Nov 20201。 I have a huge soft spot for the Disney comics retellings of various stories- they riff off established legends and history very well and there are always tons of puns。 I first encountered the Scarlet Pimpernel as a Donald Duck version known as the Scarlet Pumpernickel and I haven't forgotten it to date。 2。 So anyway- this retelling seems far more detailed and closer to the original story （taking into account my admittedly patchy relationship with the Dracula novel） than the ones I can recall。 I mean yes， the blood is replaced （rather hilariously） with beets。 The Lucy-expy （Clarabelle） eventually （view spoiler）[turns into a beetroot （hide spoiler）] and that's so weird it's funny， rather than so weird it's just weird。3。 I think my favorite character is Renfield！Black Pete because every scene with him in it made me laugh， body counts notwithstanding。 But you know- Disney comics so they were probably knocked out or something。 Whatever。 Pete was still excellent。4。 Not gonna lie， I now want Disney versions of every single classic novel I can think of。 //stares pitifully at Disney bigwigs 。。。more

6。5/10I have never been fond of the Italian Disney comics adaptations of classics。 （There are been hundreds of them since the first appeared in 1948。） But the most recent are quite well crafted， and this one has the bombastic， sometimes breathtaking art of Fabio Celoni。

Letture rapide e divertenti per il periodo di Halloween: i volumi "a tema horror" di Topolino。Questo volume de "I Capolavori della Letteratura" ci propone un adattamento del Dracula di Bram Stoker e tre storie ispirate alle figure del conte Dracula， del Mostro della Palude e del Golem。Il piatto forte è chiaramente il Dracula di Bram Topker， che ripercorre abbastanza da vicino la storia trasformando il succhiasangue in una barbabietola vivente。 I giochi di parole e le scene divertenti si sprecano Letture rapide e divertenti per il periodo di Halloween: i volumi "a tema horror" di Topolino。Questo volume de "I Capolavori della Letteratura" ci propone un adattamento del Dracula di Bram Stoker e tre storie ispirate alle figure del conte Dracula， del Mostro della Palude e del Golem。Il piatto forte è chiaramente il Dracula di Bram Topker， che ripercorre abbastanza da vicino la storia trasformando il succhiasangue in una barbabietola vivente。 I giochi di parole e le scene divertenti si sprecano， e Pippo Van Helsing è una garanzia。 Le "parodie" letterarie di Topolino sono sempre piacevolissime。A seguire， la storia più vecchia dell'albo， 1986， ispirata sempre dal conte rumeno。 Si nota subito la differenza temporale tra le due storie， i disegni degli anni '80 e quelli di pochi anni fa sono parecchio differenti。 La storia è classica， ispirata vagamente alla figura del Conte di cui comunque Paperino già conosceva il mito， ed è una piacevole lettura tipicamente Topoliniana。E poi le altre due storie， disegnate come in occasione del Dracula di Bram Topker dal bravo Celoni: Paperino e il mostro della palude， dove Paperino e Gastone si sfidano per vedere chi riuscirà a catturare per primo il temibile mostro della palude comparso vicino a Paperopoli; e Paperino e il risveglio del silente， una storia forse un po' più sottotono rispetto alle altre。Nel complesso una piacevolissima lettura， che fa sorridere （e ridere） e che soprattutto nella storia che dà il titolo all'albo fa apprezzare il lavoro fatto per adattare e trasformare il grande classico della letteratura horror rendendolo una storia di Topolino， e al contempo mantenendone tutti i punti salienti， compreso un omaggio iniziale allo stile epistolare della storia。 。。。more

This comic is hilarious。 Unfortunately， I think you need to know the original Bram Stoker version of Dracula to get all the ridiculous jokes， so maybe younger kids won’t understand the humor， but I laughed out loud a ton。 I wasn’t expecting much from this comic， so the fact that it was funny and coherent and entertaining was a pleasant surprise！ I want to see more of these classic retellings with the Disney characters—Pride and Prejudice， Wuthering Heights， Frankenstein， etc。
